Meade started her career as a broadcast reporter at station WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio. She moved on and was a news anchor for both WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio and WJW-TV in Cleveland. She later worked in Miami, Florida as the morning news anchor for WSVN-TV and she subsequently served as noon anchor and health reporter at the station.
She then worked at the NBC Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV, where she anchored morning newscasts and then served as co-anchor for the weekend newscasts. In addition, she also served as a general assignment correspondent for the NBC affiliate. In her time with WMAQ-TV she covered the 1996 Olympics, which included the extraordinary events of the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.
She then began her current job at CNN. Meade served as anchor for this network's coverage of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom in spring, 2003. Now, she makes her home at CNN's world base of operations in Atlanta. Numerous web pages are devoted to Robin Meade photos.
